One Fiery Sunset: Nadia’s Golden Hour Session
The sky went orange, then red, and Nadia just stood there in a sheet dress like she’d ordered it that way.
We got lucky with a stunning sunset atop Lookout Mountain for Nadia’s outdoor maternity session.
She’d already done a studio session with me earlier in her pregnancy. But she wanted one more, outdoors, when she was fully full term and the bump was at its proudest. Smart move. We picked an early-summer evening on Lookout Mountain in Golden and got the kind of sunset you can’t schedule, only show up for. She wore a sheet dress for most of the session, simple fabric that catches the last light and lets the silhouette do the talking. All digital, all real color.
Golden hour at altitude reads differently than golden hour anywhere else. The light comes in low and clean over the foothills, and for about twenty minutes everything it touches looks lit from within. Timing that window is my job. Standing in it is yours.
