From Texas to the Divide: Michele’s Loveland Pass Session
October on the Continental Divide, a sheer gown, and a mom who refused to let the cold win.
Michele traveled all the way from Texas just to shoot on Loveland Pass for her maternity session.
Michele and her wife traveled all the way from Texas for this session, which still flatters me every time I think about it. Two moms, one bump, and a very specific ask: make it unmistakably Colorado. So we went to Pass Lake at Loveland Pass in October, when the first dusting of the season was already on the tundra and the air had teeth. Michele had packed a sheer gown and was determined to wear it anyway. She did. The frames with Grizzly Peak rising behind her are some of the most epic things I shot all fall, and her wife’s face watching it happen might be my favorite part of the gallery.
Love looks like a lot of different families, and every one of them deserves photographs this honest. I travel to clients all over the country, but Michele reversed the trip, and sessions like hers overlap with everything I love about WanderBump: high places, big weather, and a mother treating both as a stage.
