A repeatable framework for directing pregnant clients with confidence. Hand placement, chin angles, weight shift, prompting for emotion, and the micro-adjustments that elevate every frame.

Single strobe setups for soft, dramatic, and silhouette looks. Multi-light configurations (key, fill, hair) for the glamour and editorial work that commands luxury pricing. You'll build each setup yourself.

Live posing with both models. Standing, seated, and reclining. Classic and editorial maternity poses with real-time tethered comparison on the monitor.

Lighting Block I: Single Strobe
Three setups: soft box at 45°, behind-subject silhouette, and side-light dark backdrop. Metering, modifier choices, and the light falloff rule.

Working Lunch & Image Review
Catered lunch while reviewing morning frames on the tethered monitor. Calling out wins, diagnosing common issues, open Q&A.

Guided Shooting Block I
Each attendee shoots both models across single-light setups with live coaching and direct feedback on your frames.

Lighting Block II: Multi-Light Setups
Three-light glamour, white silhouette with strip boxes, and double strip-box dark background. The 3-2-1 power ratio and looks that command luxury pricing.

Guided Shooting Block II
You build the multi-light setups yourself. Shoot both models with hands-on coaching and increasingly independent direction.

This masterclass is designed for photographers who already shoot in manual mode and understand basic exposure. You don't need studio lighting experience, but you should be comfortable with your camera. Whether you're adding maternity to an existing portrait business or looking to level up your studio work, you'll get direct, applicable instruction.
Your camera body, a portrait lens (50mm, 85mm, or 70-200mm are ideal), memory cards, and a charged battery. All studio lighting equipment, modifiers, and tethering stations are provided. Bring a notebook if you like taking written notes.
Yes. You have full usage rights on every image you shoot during the masterclass. Use them on your website, social media, advertising, and portfolio. This is one of the most valuable parts of the day.
All sales are final. You may transfer your seat to another photographer at any time before the event. If the masterclass is canceled by the instructor, you'll receive a full refund.
The masterclass takes place at Cabin House Studios in Westminster, CO. The full address and parking instructions will be emailed to registered attendees one week before the event.
