The Studio
A 1,200-square-foot space in Denver's Art District, purpose-built for one thing: photographing pregnancy at the highest level possible.
Most maternity photographers don't have one.
Most maternity photographers shoot in their home, a rented studio they share with five other photographers, or wherever they can find space that week. The result is inconsistent: lighting changes from session to session, the wardrobe lives in their car, the experience feels improvised because it is.
I built a space dedicated to maternity and only maternity. The lighting is dialed in. The wardrobe lives on a custom rack. Nothing about the experience is improvised.
What you'll find when you arrive.
Fourteen-foot ceilings, blackout-capable walls, professional grade backdrop systems, and editorial lighting equipment used by commercial photographers, not portrait studios. Five backdrops are typically ready to use during your session, so we move between looks without losing momentum.
The Shooting Floor.
Over twenty curated pieces specifically chosen for how they photograph. Belly cutout dresses. Sheer gowns. Sculptural bodysuits. Crop tops. Fabric drapes in a range of tones. Sizes and styles range. Most clients use at least one piece from the closet. Some use only the closet.
The client closet.
Professional ring lighting, full-length mirror, a dedicated MUA on retainer who knows the pregnant body. Most Signature and Goddess sessions begin here, with hair and makeup done before we shoot.
The hair and makeup station.
This is one of the biggest differences between my studio and most maternity photographers. Every image lands on three large displays positioned throughout the space, including a 42-inch monitor for full review. You see your photos at scale, in detail, in real time. Not on the back of a camera at three inches. Most photographers don't do this. The difference between reviewing a frame on a 3-inch screen and a 42-inch screen is the difference between guessing what you got and knowing.
Live tethered capture.
Sounds like a small thing. It's not, especially in the third trimester. No public restrooms, no shared spaces, no walking down a hallway in a sheer gown.
A private bathroom.
A concierge experience that doesn't exist anywhere else in Denver.
Because the space is built for this, the experience is too. You don't drive to a parking garage and lug a wardrobe bag. You don't change in a hallway. You don't review your photos squinting at the back of a camera.
You arrive. I handle wardrobe, lighting, posing, and the pace. The MUA handles hair and makeup. You see every shot live. Your support people get a comfortable place to sit. The space handles everything else.
Show up pregnant. I handle the rest.
